Online Poker Player Action

Check
If there has not been any bet in the round the player may check which means that the gambler passes his or her turn to act to the following gambler. Check doesn’t mean that the player gives up the hand, he/she just skips to act, without adding money to the pot and stays in the game until the next turn to act. If all players at the poker table checked the betting is considered to be over.
Bet
This poker player action can be used when there was not any wager before in the particular betting round. If the player chooses to bet the following bettor can only raise, call, fold.
Fold
This betting action means to give up the hand and forfeit the part in the pot. When the player choose to fold he or she loses all the wagered money and can’t participate in the next round of betting till the new game begins.
Call
The gamblers can call when in the current round of betting the bet has been already placed. By calling the gambler matches the amount of the betting amount made by the previous gambler.
Raise
After the wager was placed the following player may raise the bet. This option means to match the amount of the preceding bet and increase it somehow. All the next players to act can call this raise or increase it once more (re-raise).
Each betting round is over as soon as all players in the hand have posted the equal number of chips to the pot, otherwise betting proceeds till all bets are equaled.
The last betting round ends by the showdown in which all the gamblers which are still in the game reveal their hands and the winner is awarded. Sometimes the showdown doesn’t even occur. It happens when after the raises or bets all the players fold. So, the only gambler who stays active gets the whole pot.
